Hailed as the most medaled Olympic Games athlete in history, Michael Phelps admitted that proper training has been one of the factors of his success. His has a total winning records of 6 gold medals and 2 bronze in 2004 Athens Olympics, and 8 gold medals in 2008 Beijing Olympics – a total of 16 Olympic medals. And this record is believed hard to break and could not even be surpassed for as it is an extraordinary Olympic record ever made.

His large consumption of calories and carbohydrates is reasonable enough because he needs to fuel his body for trainings and competitions, and this has been also justified by many health professionals. For an average adult, you just need 2,000 to 2,500 calories per day. Again, take note! You do not need take as much calories as Phelps does but you must make sure you are getting the proper and enough nutrients you need when in training. And of course, it takes discipline to be as successful as Michaels Phelps.
